P-Shot® Training FAQ: Certification, Cost & Membership

Hello,

Here are the questions physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants ask most before (and after) they train to offer the Priapus Shot® (P-Shot®) and Priapus Toxin™ procedures. If yours isn’t here, call the office at 888-920-5311. Hope this helps. — Charles Runels, MD

About the training

What is P-Shot® training?

It’s the official training, from the physician who designed the procedure, in how to use platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from a man’s own blood to improve the health and function of the penis, done exactly the way our research group does it. The same training covers the Priapus Toxin™ procedure (a specific method of using botulinum toxin to improve erection) and the P-Shot 100™, which combines the two. When you pass a short online test, you’re licensed to use the Priapus Shot® and P-Shot® names and listed in our provider directory so patients can find you. See the full training page here.

Who can train?

Our providers come from primary care, urology, gynecology, age-management medicine, and other specialties. Who may perform PRP and botulinum toxin injections is set by each state (and country) and licensing board, so please check your state’s guidelines and your own scope of practice before you apply. If you aren’t licensed to perform these injections where you practice, you won’t be approved. Not sure? Call 888-920-5311 and we’ll help you think it through.

How long does the training take?

After you apply, approval takes one business day or less. Then you go straight to the training videos and the online test. Most qualified providers finish the material in one to two hours.

Is the training online or hands-on?

Both. You can start online today. If you’d like to practice with live models, CMA-certified trainers hold hands-on workshops across the U.S. and abroad, and I teach a small two-day workshop in Fairhope, Alabama. Many of our best providers do both: online first, then hands-on. See the next hands-on workshops.

What’s included?

  • The step-by-step Priapus Shot® (P-Shot®) Procedure Course: video, protocol, and online test
  • The Priapus Toxin™ and P-Shot 100™ Course: dosing, mixing, and technique
  • The supplies list, including where to get a pump with a proper pressure gauge
  • Legal documents and guidance, including consent forms
  • Marketing materials and strategy, plus the right to use the Priapus Shot® and P-Shot® names in your advertising
  • A listing in the provider directory on PriapusShot.com
  • The weekly Journal Club, live, with an archive going back years
  • Questions & Answers and the patient survey tools for tracking your outcomes
  • The benefits of membership in the Cellular Medicine Association while you’re subscribed

How do I become certified and listed in the directory?

Study the material, then pass the online test. Your license to use the names comes only after you pass, and it can be revoked for not using the agreed-upon standard of care. Once you’re licensed, you’re listed in the provider directory, which is where men look for a certified provider near them.

Will I learn the whole protocol, or just the shot?

The whole protocol. The procedure is the centerpiece, but results come from the stack: daily tadalafil if tolerated, a vacuum device with a pressure gauge used the right way, walking, hormones, shockwave if you have it, the Priapus Shot®, and the Priapus Toxin™. You’ll also learn the protocol I use for men recovering from prostate surgery, and how I treat Peyronie’s disease.

Is there CME?

No, there are no CME credits.

Cost, guarantee, and membership

How much does P-Shot® training cost?

The online training for both procedures, the Priapus Shot® and the Priapus Toxin™, is $997. Starting the next month, a $97 monthly licensing fee lets you keep using the names in your advertising and supports our research and marketing. One new patient more than pays for it.

How much does a hands-on workshop cost?

Workshops taught by CMA-certified trainers are priced by each trainer. My own two-day workshop in Fairhope, Alabama covers the Priapus Shot®, Priapus Toxin™, O-Shot®, Clitoxin®, the Vampire® procedures, and marketing. The next one is January 21–22, 2027 ($7,897).

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes. You’ll receive a full, cheerful refund (a) if you aren’t approved, or (b) for any reason at all during the next three months. No forms. No hard feelings. I do the same thing with my own patients.

Can I cancel the monthly fee?

Any time, with no penalty. You just stop using the Priapus Shot® and Priapus Toxin™ names in your advertising, since they’re reserved for providers who stay current with the group. Only our providers are also listed on the directory.

Why does the name matter? Can’t I learn a “P-Shot” anywhere?

Only providers licensed by the Cellular Medicine Association may advertise the Priapus Shot® or P-Shot® procedure. The trademark is how men know you’re doing the procedure the way the research supports, and our protocol keeps evolving as the data comes in.

Can I teach the procedure to others?

Not without my written permission. The license gives you the right to perform and advertise the procedures, not to teach them using the Priapus Shot® or Priapus Toxin™ names. Full details are in the provider agreement.

After you join

What is the Journal Club?

Every week I go over new research, answer members’ clinical questions, and share practical marketing pearls, live. Every session is recorded and transcribed on the membership site, going back to 2018. Bring your questions; it’s the best place to ask them.

Can I offer the O-Shot® too?

Yes, and many providers do. The wives often bring their husbands, so adding the O-Shot® procedure means you can treat the couple. See O-Shot® training. P-Shot training is purchased separately. However, we have many deals if you purchase trainings together, so reach out to us.

How do I update my directory listing?

Once logged into the website, go to Update Profile, which is underneath the dashboard on the menu. There, you can update anything having to do with your listing. Patients use the directory to find you directly, so keep your name, photo, phone number, website, and address current. A portrait headshot at least 400×500 pixels looks best.

I can’t log in, or I need to reset my password.

Go to PriapusShot.com/members/login and select the reset password option.

Someone says they’re endorsed by Dr. Runels and wants to sell me supplies. Are they?

Please check with us whenever a vendor says that they are endorsed by us. Most vendors that we endorse, we talk about on the members’ side. If they are not there, then there is a good chance they are not endorsed by us.

Your emails keep landing in my spam folder.

Because we talk about sex, the filters sometimes catch us. Once a week or so, search your spam folder for “P-Shot” and drag our messages out. Adding our address to your contacts helps.
